Haunted Mansion Wallpaper: Victorian Halloween Nail Art

I know, Halloween has already passed, but I still can't get enough of spooky manicures! This one is based off of the tattered wallpaper in an old, spooky Victorian house. First I painted on a beige creme, Essie Sand Tropez, and then sponged on darker taupes and burgundies to create a worn and grungy effect. After I'd added topcoat and let it dry, I stamped on an ornate brocade pattern from Bundle Monster plate BM20 to make it look like antique Victorian wallpaper.

  1. This is gorgeous; I love the photo styling! Also I love this interpretation of spooky manicure, it's subtle and wearable but still completely in the spirit of season, nicely done :D

    1. Thank you! Yeah, I was thinking I wanted to do something different and not so literal/full of pumpkins (pumpkins are amazing, though!). I have a few other ideas that might show up soon, hopefully! :D

  2. yo yo, starting a weekly roundup over at the blog for my favorite five posts of the week, and of course this made the first week's cut! Let me know if it's not cool for me to use your content how I did, not a problem at all to change anything. http://www.slothnails.com/2013/11/friday-five.html
