Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer: Spark in the Dark & January Siren

I hope you're ready for a very special post tonight readers! I have the new "Spark in the Dark" collection and limited edition "Siren" series color from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer to share. Read on for my review and more photos of these fantastic wintery shades!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquers are designed to be opaque in one to two coats, so they may need to be thinned to your desired consistency.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Never Danced Like This Before

Never Danced Like This Before is a navy blue shimmer with a strong linear holographic effect and bright blue sparkle. This stunning midnight blue is perfect for those bright, cold winter days! The formula was excellent. It applied evenly with great coverage, and was nearly a one-coater. Pictured here is two coats with top coat.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Counting Down Until I See You

Counting Down Until I See You is a blend of metallic and holographic rose pink glitter with touches of gunmetal and silver, in diamonds, small hexes, and tiny silver reflective beads in a clear base. Such a beautifully sparkly pink! This works perfectly as a full-coverage glitter, or could be layered over another color. Pictured here is three coats on its own with a coat of Gelous and top coat.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Wanna Fall in Love Tonight

Wanna Fall in Love Tonight is a bright, almost neon, magenta-purple crelly full of a beautiful, glowing golden-red shimmer. This was definitely a favorite of mine! The bright orchid purple is totally unique to my collection, and I love how the shimmer gives it an incandescent glow. The formula was very, and worked best when applied quickly with fewer brushstrokes to get smooth, even coverage. Wanna Fall in Love Tonight looked opaque in about two coats, and dried with a satin finish. Shown here is three coats with top coat.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer She's Electricity

She's Electricity is a vibrant bubble-gum pink crelly with a beautiful soft linear holographic effect, a touch of blue-violet iridescent micro-glitter, and subtle blue shimmer. This color is just so much fun; I mean, it's bright pink with rainbows! Another great formula with smooth, even coverage that looks opaque in about two coats. She's Electricity dries with a satin finish but looks shiny and glossy with a coat of top coat. Shown here is three coats plus top coat.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer It's Almost After Midnight

It's Almost After Midnight is a dark grey creme filled with blue-violet shifting shimmer. This was another favorite of mine, I just love the contrast of the bright blue shimmer against the grey. For some reason, it photographed kind of lobster-hands-ish on me, but looked amazing in person. It's Almost After Midnight also had a wonderful formula with smooth and even application. It was just a touch thick, but had great coverage, looking opaque in about two coats. Here I'm wearing three coats with top coat.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer The Years Have Been Short

The Years Have Been Short is a blend of tiny satin white glitters, iridescent blue-violet and various shades of blue micro-glitter, and silver reflective micro-beads in a slightly white-tinted jelly base. I just love this combination! The lovely mix of satin white and sparkling blue create a dazzling snow flurry effect. I felt The Years Have Been Short worked best layered over another color, and decided to wear it over Sirens are Made for Water, Not Snow. The formula was just perfect, with very even coverage. It dries a little rough due to the glitters, but smoothed out well with a coat of topcoat. Here I'm wearing one coat over Sirens are Made for Water, Not Snow, plus top coat.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Bound to the City Life

Bound to the City Life is a blackened teal jelly packed with purple, navy, red, green, and silver holographic micro-glitters. The sparkling, starry-night effect this color has is absolutely enchanting! Bound to the City Life has a superb jelly formula, with just the right balance between giving great coverage and allowing all the gorgeous sparkle to come through. It looks near-to-fully opaque in 2-4 coats, depending on desired coverage. Here I have on three coats plus top coat.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Hypothermia

Hypothermia is a nearly-grey dusty lavender holographic with hints of lavender-blue shimmer and subtle golden-pink shimmer. This color is included with the purchase of the full Spark in the Dark collection, and is not available for individual sale. I am so, so glad that Julie decided to bring back this fan favorite! This elegant, classic color is one of my all-time favorite BEGL polishes. The formula was just excellent, with a smooth, even application, and full coverage in just two coats. Pictured here with three coats and top coat.

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Sirens Are Made for Water, Not Snow

Sirens are Made for Water, Not Snow is a vivid azure blue jelly with a shimmering fuchsia flash. This color is part of the limited edition Siren series. How gorgeous is this blue?! It's like the tropical blue waters of my dreams! The formula was very good with a lovely, jelly-like finish that looked opaque in 2-4 coats, depending on preference. I found it worked best when applied quickly and with fewer brushstrokes to get smooth, even coverage. Here I have on three coats with top coat.

The "Spark in the Dark" collection includes an excellent range of colors and finishes that coordinate well together and complement the Winter season marvelously! The new Siren series color is one of my particular favorites, and is very limited, so don't wait to grab your bottle.

The full set will cost $67 (full size bottles) | $37 (mini bottles), and the set will include all eight bottles of polish.  For individual full size bottles, the holographics and shifters will be $12 and the cremes, flakies, shimmers, glitters, and microglitters will be $8.50.  The individual mini bottles will cost $6 for the holographics and shifters and $5 for the cremes, flakies, shimmers, glitters, and microglitters.

Hypothermia is included free only with the purchase of the full Spark in the Dark set, and will not be available for individual sale.
