Zoya: Naturel Satins

The new Zoya Naturel Satins are up on my blog tonight! I'm just thrilled to be able to share these gorgeous, de-saturated hues with you all, so I hope you're as excited as I am to see them! Read on for my review and more photos of the collection.

Zoya Rowan

Rowan is a light taupe-grey creme with a satin finish. This was opaque in two coats, as pictured here.

Zoya Sage

Sage is a pale, dusty sage with a satin finish. It was opaque in two coats, as shown here.

Zoya Ana

Ana is a pale, creamy almond color with pink undertones and a satin finish. This was opaque in two coats, as pictured here.

Zoya Brittany

Brittany is a light, dusty rose-mauve color with a satin finish. It was opaque in two coats, as pictured here.

Zoya Tove

Tove is a blue-toned slate grey with a satin finish. It was opaque in two coats, and is shown here with three coats.

Zoya Leah

Leah is a light, lavender-tinted taupe with a satin finish. This was opaque in two coats, as shown here.

The formula with all of the Naturel Satins was very consistent and easy to apply. They each had excellent coverage and good self-leveling, and looked opaque in about two coats. Since these are designed to be worn without top coat and therefore won't benefit from its fabulous smoothing wizardry, I found that the best way to get a smooth application was to use thicker coats and to work quickly to avoid brushstrokes or dragging, and also to wait a minute or two between coats. The dry time was great, and they felt dry to the touch in just a few minutes.

As someone who really hasn't been a fan of matte-finish cremes, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself absolutely loving the Naturel Satins! The soft, muted colors and the ceramic-like finish make me think of my favorite vintage "shabby chic" furniture with a coat of perfectly smooth milk paint. Now my husband on the other hand thinks they look like paint primer, but to each their own! What do you think of Zoya's new Satin finish cremes? Will you wear them as-is, or with top coat?

I have a beautiful new Spring collection to share today, just in time for the bright, sunny weather that's finally here! Here is Zoya's new "Delight" collection, a set of six sweet pastel cremes and shimmers.

Zoya Tiana

Tiana is a beautiful pale pastel mint creme. The formula was good; a little patchy at first, but evened out nicely by the third coat. Pictured here is four thin coats with top coat.

Zoya Daisy

Daisy is a stunning pastel banana-yellow filled with iridescent blue/green shimmer. This one had a great formula with surprisingly good coverage for a yellow, and applied evenly. Here I'm wearing three coats with top coat.

Zoya Lillian

Lillian is a lovely light pastel blue creme. The formula was good and had decent opacity. Shown here is three coats with top coat.

Zoya Rayne

Rayne is a dazzline pastel blue filled with iridescent blue/green shimmer. Formula was great and had very smooth coverage. Pictured here is three coats and top coat.

Zoya Leslie

Leslie is a gorgeous lilac filled with iridescent blue/green shimmer. Another great formula with good coverage. Shown here is three coats plus top coat.

Zoya Eden

Eden is a wonderful bright carnation-pink pastel creme. I would say this one had the best formula of the bunch, with excellent coverage, too, looking opaque in two coats. Here I have on three coats with top coat.

These soft yet lively pastels are truly perfect for Springtime! And I especially love the few filled with glowing blue shimmer-- just gorgeous! Zoya is always amazing at creating very complimentary collections with new and exciting colors, and the Spring "Delight" polishes are no exception. Which of these are you most excited to try?
