Emily de Molly: New Releases, August 2015

Happy Fall, y'all! It's been a wet week here in South Carolina, but the sun is out again, and I'm ready for some sparkle! Tonight I'm sharing another set of stunning new colors from Emily de Molly! Read on for my photos and my review.

Emily de Molly Sleep Walking

Sleep Walking is a navy-blue linear holographic with iridescent green shimmer. This color has such a beautiful, eerie green glow! I highly recommend adding a glossy top coat as it really intensifies the shimmer. The formula was excellent; smooth, easy to apply, and nicely pigmented, looking opaque in only two coats. Shown with three coats plus top coat.

Emily de Molly Cracks in the Walls

Cracks in the Walls is a greyish-silver ultra linear holographic with holographic silver micro-glitter. I love how this isn't an ordinary bright silver, but has a very slight tarnished pewter look to it that makes it really different and lovely. It’s definitely a favorite! This had an excellent formula that was a little sheer on the first coat, but covered nicely in 2-3 coats. And it dried very smoothly, even with all that glitter! Pictured here is four coats plus top coat.

Emily de Molly Copper Patina

Copper Patina is a dusty, seafoam-green creme full of brilliant pink-to-gold shifting shimmer. How stunning is this color?! The pink shimmer complements the soft green beautifully, and reminds me of little succulent plants (and tarnished copper, of course)! The formula was amazing, with a very smooth and creamy application, and full coverage in 2-3 coats. Here I’m wearing three coats with top coat.

Emily de Molly Ambitious Flower

Ambitious Flower is a vibrant, plum-colored jelly with a very strong linear holographic effect. This color is so rich and splendid, and like liquid jewels! The formula was excellent, and had full coverage in just 2-3 coats. Pictured with three coats plus top coat.

Emily de Molly Fruitcake in August?

Fruitcake in August? is a blackened-brown jelly filled with a mix of holographic and metallic red, orange, gold, silver, turquoise, purple, and bronze glitters in varying small-sized hex and square shapes, and holographic dust. This polish is incredibly sparkly and colorful, and perfectly reminiscent of a holiday fruitcake (ah, delicious Pannetone!) It had a great formula and the glitter came out easily with even distribution, and looked nicely opaque in three coats. Shown here is three coats plus a coat of Gelous and top coat.

Emily de Molly Great and Small

Great and Small is a pastel cornflower-blue with pink sparkle and a very strong linear holographic effect. This one had a wonderful formula, and a very smooth, even application. It was a little sheer after the first two coats, but looked nicely opaque with a third. I chose to add another coat though for my photos. Here I’m wearing four coats and top coat.

I love the variety of colors and finishes of all of these! These polishes aren't part of a collection per se, but are individual new shades. They're all very complimentary for Fall though! So, which do you want to wear for pumpkin carving and apple bobbing?
