Love is All You Need!

... For a cute, Valentines-y mani! I've really been in the spirit of everything pink and sweet, and with Valentine's Day approaching, I thought I'd share a few love-and-hearts-inspired manis with you. ♥

Zoya Kendal, Orly Preamp, Revlon Urban, Essie A Cut Above, Wet n Wild Lavender Creme

Here I did a bit of nail art with a fun mix of colors! I seem to have misplaced my dotting tools so I did the hearts and dots with a bobby pin (they didn't get as round as I would have liked, oh well!). I was inspired to use this color combo from a textile pattern; I really love looking at prints and colors on clothes to get nail art ideas!

Maybelline Ruby Rhinestones over OPI Diva of Geneva

Here is one of the "new" Maybelline Sequins glitters, Ruby Rhinestones. This glitter is just beautiful! A very bright, sparkling red with tiny burgundy glitters that look nearly black in a red jelly. I loved it over Diva of Geneva, which in itself is such a fantastic rich berry/wine color.

Sally Hansen Polar Bare + Revlon Whimsical (jelly sandwich)

I'm finally getting into the jelly-glitter sandwiches and thought the sweet pink and blue glitters in Whimsical would pair well with a soft off-white jelly, Polar Bare. I used two coats of Polar Bare, two coats of Whimsical, and another thin coat of jelly on top. I love the subtle look of the tiny silver glitter! My only complaint is that the aqua base of Whimsical gave it a kind of odd bluish tint. But overall it looked very sweet and soft.

If you're as goofy as I am, you might already have a Valentine's Day mani planned. What color are you going to wear? ♥
