Darling Diva: More Madonna Colors!

More glitter, sparkles, and lots of fun with these fantastic Madonna inspired polishes sent to me from Darling Diva Polish!

Darling Diva Like a Virgin

Like a Virgin is a glitter topper in a clear base that contains white hearts, circles, and bars, silver circles, and small blue-purple iridescent glitters, plus lots of holographic SUPER micro-glitter. I'm totally in love with this one! It has a very 80's lace and frills look to it that captures Madonna's song "Like a Virgin" perfectly. And the formula was fantastic! One coat plus some dabbing for the larger glitters gave me excellent coverage. Here I have Like a Virgin layered over Essie Smooth Sailing, a shimmering cornflower blue.

Into the Groove is a build-able lime green crelly with various-sized black and silver circle glitter and a touch of shimmer. Generally I prefer to layer glitter crellies over a similar-colored base to get it more opaque, so here I have two coats of Into the Groove over Sinful Colors Pistache. However, if you prefer a semi-translucent look, that can be achieved in about three coats. The formula had a great consistency and just the right glitter coverage for this type of polish. Side note: my photos make this color look a little more blue and neon than it is (sorry about that!)-- in person though, it's more of a pistachio green.

Darling Diva Dress You Up over Indigo Bananas Electric Unicorns

Dress You Up is an incredible rainbow of satin matte glitters in various shapes and sizes: pink, red, yellow, green, teal, blue, lavender, and black in hearts, squares, butterflies, flowers, stars, hexes, and bars, plus tiny green iridescent hexes. Darling Diva has perfectly re-imagined the super crazy and colorful jacket that Madonna wore in her video into glitter form, and it rocks. This polish also had a superb formula and excellent glitter density and coverage, with most all of the glitters being very easy to pick up and spread evenly. I layered two coats over another gorgeous indie polish that I'll have up on the blog soon: a beautiful vibrant periwinkle from Indigo Bananas, Electric Unicorns.

Darling Diva Bad Girl

And finally, here is Bad Girl, a super-pigmented multi-chrome polish that has a beautiful shift; olive, emerald, teal, blue, purple, and even magenta. Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the full spectrum of this gorgeous color, but you really can see the emerald-blue-purple shift in person, and somewhat in my photos below. Bad Girl is very nicely pigmented, and can be nearly opaque in three coats, however you'll see a better range of color over black or a very dark color. Here I have two coats layered over a dark teal, MAC Deep Sea. The formula is, once again, very smooth and easy to work with. You'll want to be careful with your brushstrokes though as the somewhat metallic finish will cause them to show.
