Love & Beauty "Black Glam" (or "Purple/Gold"), no topcoat |
This is "Black Glam" or, the more generic name on the actual label, "Purple/Gold". Black Glam is a beautiful mix of gold, pink, copper, magenta, green, and purple glitter flecks in a dark aubergine base. It's basically a cross between OPI's "Vesper" and "Alcatraz... Rocks"-- the base is the same deep violet/eggplant as Vesper with the multi-colored sparkle of Alcatraz, and it looks freakin' awesome!
The formula was excellent and I only needed two coats for it to become fully opaque. You can see a TON of that gorgeous sparkle both inside and outdoors, and it looks amazing with or without a top coat. I would definitely recommend picking Black Glam up!

Love & Beauty "Blue Jewel" (L) and "Metallic Love" (R, or "Champagne"), no topcoat |
I also bought this stunning ocean blue, "Blue Jewel", and lovely pale gold, "Metallic Love" (called "Champagne" on the label). Blue Jewel is a dazzling combination of turquoise, blue, aqua, green, and gold sparkle flecks in a turquoise jelly base. It's like a textured version of Zoya Charla! There's so much depth to this fantastic blue. The multicolored sparkle make this color quite unique, and unlike any of OPI or Zoya's blue textured polishes.
Metallic Love is a mix of pale gold sparkly flecks and small hexes in a clear base. Zoya has a similarly-colored pale gold textured polish, but the tiny gold hexes make Metallic Love a bit different from Tomoko, not to mention it's about one third of the price!
In full sun, Blue Jewel also sparkles a stunning pink-lavender!

Blue Jewel and Metallic Love also had wonderful formulas, and were opaque in two coats.
I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised with how great these textured polishes turned out to be! These were definitely worth the gamble, especially for the price. My personal favorite is "Black Glam". The color is very multidimensional and unique, and it's just perfect for Fall.
Forever 21's polishes sell for $2.80 apiece, and can be found in stores or at Forever21.com.
Awesome swatches! I've been wanting to try out some texture polishes so I need to pick these up now. They look amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! They're super pretty, and you can't beat the price, either.

ReplyDeleteThank you! So do I, it's super sparkly! :)
