Aliquid Lacquer: Happy Birthday to Me

I'm very excited to share these three spectacular polishes sent to me from an awesome polish maker who just opened her shop last month, ALIQUID Lacquer. Her debut collection is "an homage to her ideal birthday," the "Happy Birthday to Me" trio of polishes.

ALIQUID Lacquer Quiet Night In

Quiet Night In is a rich dark aubergine filled with beautiful blue, gold, and fuchsia iridescent flecks. The formula is superb, smooth and buttery, and easily opaque in about three coats. I think it really conjures the cozy feeling of a lovely, dark night next to a flickering fireplace.

ALIQUID Lacquer Make a Wish

Make a Wish is a pale grey creme with tiny copper, gold, and blue flecks and an ethereal green shimmer. This one was also wonderfully creamy and easy to apply, and needed only two coats. Make a Wish is inspired by, "that moment just before you blow out the candles," and so perfectly captures that birthday magic and excitement! 

ALIQUID Lacquer Carrot Cake

Carrot Cake is an orange jelly full of white and copper hexes, and round green glitter. This one was a touch thick at first, but with a couple drops of thinner it became easy to work with and apply, with just a little fishing needed for the larger glitters. Can you smell the carrot cake? Almost? Just looking at this polish makes me want a big slice covered in pretty piped frosting!

 I tried to do some accent nail art inspired by this delicious cake, but I think it turned out looking more like a carrot doily.

I really love the polishes in this collection, and the fun and delicious inspirations behind them. I look forward to seeing more unique and interesting colors and finishes (especially those flecks!) from ALIQUID Lacquer in the future!
