Indigo Bananas Halloween/Fall 2013, Part 1

With their impeccable formulas and broad range of unique and dazzling colors, Indigo Bananas polishes are absolutely some of my favorite and most treasured colors! Today I have a few delightfully wicked colors to share from Andrea's Halloween/Fall "Rocky Horror Picture Show" themed collection.

Indigo Bananas Medusa Transducer

Medusa Transducer is a sheer charcoal-black jelly filled with iridescent green/orange shifting glitter and dark grey shimmer, and glows a beautiful bright aqua in the dark. The formula was very smooth and even, and rather more thin for a jelly. Application was a breeze, needing about 4-5 coats to become fully opaque.

Indigo Bananas Enchante

Enchanté is a sheer bright scarlet-red jelly with small and medium black glitter. This one has a soft blue glow in the dark. The formula was excellent and applied wonderfully, and needed about four coats to become mostly opaque.

Indigo Bananas The Secret to Life

The Secret to Life is a sheer blackened violet jelly packed with beautiful multi-colored flakies, blue/purple
iridescent mylar flakes, and real silver flakes. The iridescent flakes glow a stunning bright blue, violet, and pink predominantly, but seem to flash in nearly ever color. Application was also very good and even. The Secret to Life was also a somewhat sheer jelly, and needed about 4-5 coats for full coverage. I would also recommend either a coat of Gelous or an extra coat of topcoat to smooth out the larger flakes.

Indigo Bananas Moonlight (Clair de Lune)

Moonlight (Clair de Lune) contains stunning silver flakes in a sheer base. The silver has a subtle gold tint which gives it a lovely, somewhat antique look, and is actual silver! The flakes come out sparse enough to be used to create a beautiful effect over another color, or it can be layered on its own for a gleaming textured metallic look. Moonlight applied evenly and easily, and smoothed out quite well. Shown here is 3-4 coats

"Moonlight is part of a duo with Earthshine, and is not part of the Rocky Horror polishes. These two polishes are inspired by Offenbach’s opera Le Voyage dans La Lune, which in turn was inspired by Jules Vernes’ ‘From the Earth to the Moon.’  The silvery moonlight streams down to earth, and the light of the earth is reflected on the dark side of the moon (for Earthshine (Clair de Terre))."

Indigo Bananas Earthshine (Clair de Terre)

Earthshine (Clair de Terre) is a dark moss-green jelly filled with multi-colored and real silver flakes, as well as many other shimmers, which give this polish a ton of extraordinary and beautiful depth! Earthshine applied very smooth and evenly, and needed about 3-4 coats, as pictured here.

"Earthshine (clair de terre) is a duo with Moonlight, and is not part of the Rocky Horror polishes. These two polishes are inspired by Offenbach’s opera Le Voyage dans La Lune, which in turn was inspired by Jules Vernes’ ‘From the Earth to the Moon.’  The silvery moonlight streams down to earth, and the light of the earth is reflected on the dark side of the moon (for Earthshine (clair de terre or light of the earth, a pun on clair de lune))."

The fantastic finishes and colors, beautiful glowing effects, and homage to the sweetest transvestite definitely make this another favorite Indigo Bananas collection of mine!
