Glam Polish: Halloween Horror Shop, Partial Review

Next to nail polish, Halloween and horror flicks are some of the things I love most, so I'm extremely excited that today I get to share some of the very special, super limited-edition, scary Halloween movie-inspired shades from Glam Polish!

Formula overview:

These all had similarly fantastic formulas, as they're all jelly bases with various flakies and shimmer. The thickness of the coats and application really determined the coverage. I found they worked very well with about three medium coats, although you could probably get away with two thicker coats as well. I don't recommend going too thick or it becomes more challenging to get an even coat. These dried nice and smoothly, with a semi-glossy finish, and the flakies and shimmer really came to life with the addition of top coat. I didn't have any issues with staining, and cleanup was an absolute breeze!

Glam Polish Vampyr

Vampyr is a deep burgundy-merlot jelly packed with multi-colored iridescent flakies and violet-fuchsia shifting shimmer. The contrasting multi-colored flakies look so beautiful against the blood-red color! It had a fantastic formula, just slightly thicker since it has soo many wonderful flakies, however it applied evenly and dried nice and smooth. Vampyr looked opaque in 2-3 coats, depending on how thickly it's applied. Pictured here is three coats with top coat.

Glam Polish Omen

Omen is a blackened plum jelly full of iridescent green, gold, and orange color-shifting flakies and iridescent gold-green shimmer. The gold shimmer in this gives it a beautifully brilliant crimson sparkle! The formula was excellent, and applied smoothly and evenly, with full coverage in 2-3 coats. Shown here with three coats and top coat.

Glam Polish Daughters of Darkness

Daughters of Darkness is a blackened violet jelly filled with iridescent green-blue shifting flakies and gold sparkle. LOVE this color! The green and violet compliment each other beautifully, and are perfect Halloween colors. The formula was excellent with a smooth, even application and great coverage in 2-3 coats, depending on how thick your coats are. Here I'm wearing three coats plus top coat.

Glam Polish The Sixth Sense

The Sixth Sense is a rich violet jelly full of multi-colored iridescent flakies and blue-to-fuchsia shifting shimmer. The iridescence gives this purple a beautiful and eerie glow that I love! The formula was flawless, and applied evenly with full coverage in about three coats. I only added a fourth to make sure it was opaque for photos. Pictured with four coats and top coat.

Glam Polish The Shining

The Shining is a dark blue-violet jelly full of iridescent blue-violet shifting flakies and shimmer. This is another color with a lovely, ghoulish glow to it! The formula was excellent, and applied evenly with great coverage in about three coats. Again, I added a fourth coat for photographs.  The Shining has more noticeable blue-violet color shift in person, it was just rather overcast when I swatched it. Shown here is four coats plus top coat.

Glam Polish Exorcist

Exorcist is a green jelly full of iridescent green and gold color-shifting flakies, fuchsia metallic multi-chrome flakies, and iridescent aqua-violet shifting shimmer. This was another favorite of mine, the color combination is so unique, flattering, and just right for Halloween! The formula was superb and applied smoothly and with great coverage in 2-3 coats. Shown here is three coats and top coat.

The Halloween Horror Shop collection has a total of fifteen spooky shades with mixes of shimmer, glass flecks, and metallic and iridescent flakies. This collection is super limited edition, with only 30-60 bottles per shade available. They will be exclusive to Glam Polish's shop, and will not be sold through international stockists. These colors are available right now, so  don't wait to grab your favorites or they might vanish!
