Chocolat & Nonpareils

It must have something to do with the seasons, but recently I've really been craving warm, chocolate-y colors, and found that I have next to none. After a bit of searching I discovered the beauty that is Illamasqua's Faithful and promptly got hold of it!

Illamasqua Faithful

After seeing some pictures online, I was worried this color might be too warm for my complexion! Faithful is a lovely subdued chocolate-color with a beautiful warm, copper shimmer. While the shimmer really glows, the brown base makes it neutral enough to not look garish against my skintone, as coppers often do. It's perfect and I just love it!

The formula was like butter. This is my first Illamasqua polish and now I see what all the rave is about! I used three coats to make it fully opaque.

I recently brought home Girly Bits Indian Summer (my new favorite polish of hers!) and thought it would look great with Faithful.

+ Girly Bits Indian Summer

This is one of my absolute favorite combinations. The glitters look like beautiful little candies! Indian Summer is a mix of periwinkle, rose, copper, ocean blue, and pale pink hexes & squares in a lightly-tinted blue base. The formula was excellent and I had just the right amount of glitter in one coat. It looks like the most gorgeous sunset and, I believe, would pair well with just about any color!

It looks stunning matte-ified, as well.

Girly Bits polishes are available on her website and at Llarowe's shop. Her Holiday polishes have just come out and they all look amaaazing!
